The official line up for this years Cannes Film Festival was announced today &, as expected, “Melancholia” has been selected & will have it’s World Premiere at the festival. “Melancholia” will compete against eighteen other films (in what looks like a strong line-up) for the prestigious Palme d’Or award, which is awarded to the director of the best film. The date of the “Melancholia” premiere hasn’t yet been announced but the festival runs from May 11th-22nd. We’ve added to the gallery the first stunning promotional still for “Melancholia” & also some candid pics of Kirsten at a gas station in Los Angeles on tuesday.
