Short films by thesps Kirsten Dunst & James Franco will be closing this year’s Cannes Critics’ Week, announced the festival today in Paris. Dunst’s 6 minute short, “Bastard”, stars Brian Geraghty, Juno Temple & Lukas Haas, & depicts a couple who wind up in a desert motel where they’re met by three men for mysterious reasons. Franco’s “The Clerk’s Tale” is the thesp’s third short to date, & is based on a poem of the same title by Spencer Reese. Franco’s backstage docu “Saturday Night” recently bowed at the South by Southwest film festival. Both films will screen May 20th in Cannes.
