The Provincetown International Film Festival has set a 2012 lineup that opens with Sundance alum “Bachelorette,” while the festivals roster of award recipients includes Roger Corman, Parker Posey & Kirby Dick.
Provincetown will see the East Coast premiere for “Bachelorette,” Leslye Headland’s comedy starring Kirsten Dunst. Slate also includes two spotlight films, Jonathan Lisecki’s comedy “Gayby” & Jeffrey Schwarz’s documentary “Vito,” as well as closer “Fairhaven,” Tom O’Brien’s drama that recently world premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
“Gimme the Loot,” “Robot & Frank,” “Sleepwalk With Me,” “Chicken & Plums,” “Take This Waltz,” “Struck by Lightning,” “Your Sister’s Sister”, & “How to Survive a Plague” are also among the festival-circuit vets set to screen during PIFF.
Corman will receive the annual Filmmaker on the Edge kudo, while Posey takes the Excellence in Acting prize. Helmer Dick – whose film “The Invisible War,” a documentary about rape in the military, will screen during the festival – scores the career achievement award.
The 2012 edition of the Provincetown fest runs June 13-17.

Well as expected that confirms that Bachelorette will not be released in the U.S on June 1st. As far as I know the film currently has no revised release date although there is speculation that it’ll be sometime in September.
I’ve added to the gallery pics of Kirsten & Garrett at Los Angeles airport on wednesday.
