Here’s the news from what was a very busy March & April.

KIRSTEN NEWS

96th Academy Awards = On March 10th Kirsten & Jesse attended the 96th Annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Civil War SXSW Premiere = On March 14th Kirsten attended the U.S Premiere of ‘Civil War’ at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Also attending were director Alex Garland & co-stars Wagner Moura & Cailee Spaeny.

Civil War Texas Museum Screening = Following the Civil War SXSW Festival Premiere on March 14th director Alex Garland, & stars Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, & Cailee Spaeny all attended a screening of the film at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin.

Civil War SXSW Conversation = On March 15th Kirsten took part in the ‘A Conversation with Civil War Filmmaker Alex Garland & Cast’ event at the Austin Convention Center, along with director Alex Garland & co-stars Wagner Moura & Cailee Spaeny.

Civil War London Screening = On March 26th Kirsten & director Alex Garland attended a Special Screening of ‘Civil War’ at The Cinema In The Power Station in London. Our very own Marc was also there for The Fancarpet.

Civil War Los Angeles Screening = On April 2nd Kirsten & Jesse attended a Special Screening of ‘Civil War’ in Los Angeles. The screening was held at the Ted Mann Theater at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Also in attendance were director Alex Garland & co-stars Nick Offerman, Cailee Spaeny, Wagner Moura, & Jojo T. Gibbs.

The Jinx – Part Two Los Angeles Screening = On April 15th Kirsten attended the advance screening of ‘The Jinx – Part Two’ at The London West Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Turtles All The Way Down Los Angeles Screening = On April 27th Kirsten attended the ‘Turtles All The Way Down’ Advance Screening at London West Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Let’s Talk = Kirsten was certainly busy promoting Civil War. She was a guest on the March 30th edition of UK talkshow ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ (show was recorded on March 27th); On April 4th she appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!; On April 8th Kirsten, Cailee Spaeny & Wagner Moura visited the SiriusXM Studios in New York, where Kirsten was interviewed on ‘The Jess Cagle Show’; On April 10th Kirsten was interviewed on Good Morning America; Later that day Kirsten, Cailee Spaeny & Wagner Moura were guests on ‘The View’; In the evening Kirsten appeared on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers; Finally on April 11th Kirsten was a guest on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ (show was recorded on April 9th).

Cover Star = Kirsten was featured on the cover of the following magazines. Marie Claire: The Makers Issue; ‘S’ magazine: Spring issue; Variety magazine: April 3rd issue; Flaunt magazine: Spring-Summer issue.

Happy Birthday = Kirsten celebrated her 42nd birthday on April 30th.

MOVIE & TELEVISION NEWS

Civil War Tops Box Office = ‘Civil War’ was released in U.S cinemas on April 12th. The film topped the U.S box office for weekend ending April 14th & then repeated the feat the following weekend. By April 28th the film had taken an estimated $56.2 million at the U.S box office & an estimated total of $86.2 million worldwide.

Rhubarb? = According to IMDB Kirsten will be appearing in an upcoming film called ‘Rhubarb’. The low budget film is currently in post production & stars Haley Ramm & Charlie McDermott. If this info is correct it’s likely Kirsten will have a small (cameo?) role in the film.
