This years show runs from December 4th-7th.Thursday evening at the Cartier Dome, David Lynch was being toasted for the film he specially created for the temporary structure. The result, which features psychedelic computerized abstractions of floating diamonds in a very high end version of a planetarium show, took three years to put together. “Making the diamonds – that’s what took so long,” explained Lynch, who brought along a video camera to film the results in between courses. Among those who came to pay their respects to the director were Naomi Campbell, Dasha Zhukova and Kirsten Dunst. The actress, in town for just one full day, said she wasn’t sure if she was going to hit the main fair. “I prefer to see art in a more intimate environment,” said Dunst, who came as a guest of her friend, Art of Elysium founder Jennifer Howell. “We’re busy prepping the Christmas play for the kids,” she said. Spider-Man actress Kirsten Dunst has gained a restraining order against a man caught trespassing in her home.Christopher Smith is due to appear in court later this month after Dunst’s personal assistant carried out a citizen’s arrest on him in November. The film star was not there at the time, but has since stated that she is “quite frightened” of Mr Smith. He has been found at Dunst’s home several times since in recent weeks, documents have shown. The actress has never met Mr Smith. We’re updating the “Television” section of the gallery this month and to start with I’ve added pics of Kirsten arriving for an appearance on the David Letterman show in March 2001.
