Late adding this, im sorry - The Fan Carpet is keeping me so busy these days! Which reminds me, its such a shame that Kirsten wasn't able to attend the Press Conference and Premiere here in London for HTLFAAP. I was quite excited to meet her on more official terms. Awww. Nevermind. 3 years time and ill be requesting interviews with her.. come on TFC. Not much else to report, except a huge thank you to John for all his hard work. Jess x
KIRSTEN NEWS
Premiere No Show = Kirsten, along with most of the cast, did not attend a low-key UK premiere for the film "How To Lose Friends & Alienate People", which was held at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square on September 24th. With no US premiere being held it made for a rather lacklustre promotional push for the film.
You Ain't Nothing But A Hounddog...Premiere = On September 16th Kirsten attended the New York Premiere of the controversial film "Hounddog".
Stood Up To Cancer = On September 5th Kirsten, and a whole host of stars, took part in the "Stand Up To Cancer" telethon, which took place at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
Cover Girl = Kirsten graced the cover of the October 2008 US issue of Harper's Bazaar. The issue also featured an interesting interview with her and a photoshoot of Kirsten by photographer Alexi Lubomirski.
Party Girl = September was a busy month for after parties in New York!. On September 8th Kirsten attended an after party held following Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 Collection Fashion Show. On September 20th Kirsten attended an after party held in honour of her Spider-Man co-star James Franco, to mark his appearance as guest host of the TV show "Saturday Night Live". Finally on September 22nd Kirsten attended an after party held to celebrate the New York screening of the film "Blindness".
Arty Girl = On September 20th artist Doug Aitken held an Opening Reception for his latest work "Migration" at the 303 gallery in New York. Kirsten was among those attending the event.
Model Girl = On September 6th Kirsten attended the Spring 2009 Presentation by fashion label "Band Of Outsiders". The presentation featured a film of Kirsten, her "How To Lose Friends" co-star Max Minghella, and rapper Charles Hamilton modelling the collection.
Yankee Doodle Kiki = On September 15th Kirsten attended a baseball game at Yankee Stadium between the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox. Kirsten clearly had a great time at the game, and brought the home team luck as they ran out winners by 4 runs to 2.
Miu Miu For Kiki In Paree = On October 5th Kirsten attended the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2009 collection runway show held during Paris Fashion Week.
Mollys Birthday Weekend In Vegas = Kirstens best friend Molly reached the grand old age of 26 on saturday October 11th. To mark the occasion Kirsten treated Molly and three of their friends to a "Girls Weekend" in Las Vegas. A good time was clearly had by all!.
Kirsten Is A Reel Supporter = On October 14th Kirsten attended the 2008 Glamour "Reel Moments" screenings, which were held at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. Kirsten was among several former "Reel Moments" directors who attended the event in support of this years participants. The three short films on show were directed by actresses Courteney Cox and Demi Moore, and screenwriter Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith.
Enviromentally Sound = Former President Bill Clinton and musician Sting and his wife Trudi Styler were all presented with awards at the 2008 Oceana Partners Gala, which was held in Pacific Palisades on October 18th. The awards were to mark their individual contributions towards protecting and conserving the enviroment. Kirsten attended the event, which also featured a 4 song musical set by Sting which featured Dustin Hoffman on the piano!. The event raised over $1.3 million for the Oceana charity.
A Fashionable Dinner = On October 28th Kirsten was a guest at a private dinner honouring French fashion designer Andrew Gn. The dinner was held at the Los Angeles home of costume designer Jacqui Getty.

MOVIE NEWS
How To Lose Friends In The States = "How To Lose Friends & Alienate People" was released in the US on October 3rd. The film bombed at the US box office and has only taken about $3 million in total during October.
But Gain An Audience In The UK! = The film was also released in the UK on October 3rd. In a complete contrast to the US the film opened at number one in the UK box office and has performed strongly throughout October, grossing about $6 million by the end of the month.
And Elsewhere! = "How To Lose Friends" was also released in Australia, South Korea, Poland, and Russia during October. Current box office figures for each country aren't yet available but the film appears to have done pretty well just about everywhere.....bar the States of course!.
Ghost Gains Direction = Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego has reportedly signed on to direct the film "A Jealous Ghost". Kirsten is set to both produce and star in the film. Although there has been no official announcement about the film yet scriptwriter Megan Holley has confirmed she is close to completing the screenplay. It's also reported that Paramount Vantage are hoping to put the film into production in the near future, possibly even before the end of 2008.
Spidey Returns = Sam Raimi has confirmed that he and Tobey Maguire have agreed deals to make a fourth (and possibly also a fifth) Spider-Man film. Sony are said to be exploring the possibility of making two Spider-Man films back to back, with production starting in spring 2010 and a release date for Spider-Man 4 set for mid 2011.
With An Award Winning Scriptwriter! = Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire is reported to be in negotiations with Sony to write the screenplay for Spider-Man 4.
Kirsten Also Returns...Probably! = Kirsten hinted very strongly during a press interview for "How To Lose Friends" that she would be appearing in the next Spider-Man film.
