As there was no newsletter last month here's a round up of all the news from October and November. My apologies for not adding the newsletter I have been extremely busy with The Fan Carpet and other commitments. Kirsten has ben very quiet lately. I am very pleased with the new KikiClips archive. It took me well over 2 weeks to complete... and with a few new rare additions its a must -see! // Jess xx
KIRSTEN NEWS
Crossing The Ocean For Chanel = Kirsten and her friend Liat flew to France to
attend the Chanel Spring 2008 Collection Fashion Show in Paris on October 5th.
This event was held as part of Paris Fashion Week. Among the other attendees
were Kirstens Marie Antoinette co-star Marianne Faithful, and Leith Clark, the
editor of Lula magazine.
Lula Party = Later that same day Kirsten hosted a party to mark both the Chanel
Show and the 5th Issue of Lula Magazine. The event was held at the Chanel Studio
in Paris. Notable attendees included Sofia Coppola, Karl Lagerfeld, actresses
Rachel Bilson and Audrey Tatou, and actor Simon Pegg.
A Very Welcome Premiere = On October 9th Kirsten attended the premiere of her
directorial debut "Welcome" in Los Angeles. The short film was one of three shown at this years 'Reel Moments' event organised by Glamour magazine. Also attending were fellow first time directors Kate Hudson and Rita Wilson.
Miu Miu For Kiki = Kirsten has been chosen to spearhead fashion label Miu Miu's spring/summer 2008 campaign. A photoshoot was held in Los Angeles in November where photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot next seasons ads featuring Kirsten. Miuccia Prada is well-known for her penchant for actresses promoting her labels and, with new Miu Miu boutiques due to open next year in New York and Los Angeles, Kirsten is seen as the ideal choice to promote the expansion of the brand in the US. We can't wait to see the adverts.
MOVIE NEWS
Move Over Sofia! = "Welcome" was released online on October 15th. The short film is a ghost story and stars Winona Ryder, John Hawkes, and 6 year old Lexi Jourden. Reaction to the film has been very positive, and it's rumoured that it may be shown at next years Sundance Film Festival.
Here Comes The Spider-Man = Spider-Man 3 was released on DVD during october. Get
your copy today!.
What's Up Next For Kirsten? = There has been no definite news so far on what
Kirstens next film will be. These appear to be the four most likely films (at
the moment anyway!). "Sweet Relief" - A biopic of relief worker Marla Ruzicka, An untitled biopic on singer Debbie Harry and her band Blondie, "On The Road" - An adaptation of the book by Jack Kerouac, and "A Jealous Ghost" - A ghost story adapted from the book by A N Wilson. Which one of them, if any, will it be?.
