Obviously everything that happened this month was overshadowed by the tragic, untimely death of actor Heath Ledger. However here's a round up of what was a busy month for Kirsten.
KIRSTEN NEWS
Drum Roll From Kirsten = Kirsten attended the Guitar Center Drum-Off Competition
Final held at The Music Box @ Fonda in Los Angeles on January 5th. The event was
the culmination of a four month contest to find Americas best 'undiscovered'
drummer. Kirsten was seen practising on a set of drums, but we're not sure if
she'll be entering next years event!.
Miu Miu Campaign Online = Miu Miu released photos from their Spring/Summer 2008 campaign on their website in January. The pics, by photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Pigott, feature Kirsten in a selection of outfits from the collection.
Kirstens Designs On Fashion = Kirsten has teamed up with the cashmere label Lutz + Patmos and will launch her self designed "Capsule Collection" on sunday, February 3rd, during New York Fashion Week. This will be followed by a celebration party at the New Musuem in Manhattan where DJ Michel Gaubert will be providing the music.
Lux And Trip Reunited? = Yes it's wild tabloid rumour time again!. Kirsten and actor Josh Harnett were seen together at two different events during January, sparking speculation that they may be dating. Time to sort that wedding hat out again Jess!.
Short Stay In Sundance = Kirsten made a brief three day trip to the Sundance Film Festival in Utah where her short film "Welcome" was being screened. As usual she kept a fairly low profile, and in the main managed to avoid the paparazzi. Actress Bryce Dallas Howard made a special trip to the festival to support Kirsten and the film.
MOVIE NEWS
Will There Be "All Good Things" For Kirsten? = Kirsten is in negotiations to star in love story/murder mystery "All Good Things" for Michael London's Groundswell Productions. Ryan Gosling has already signed on to star in the film and Andrew Jarecki, of "Capturing The Friedmans" fame, will direct. Set in the 1980s, the story centres on the son of a New York real estate dynasty who falls for a beautiful girl from the wrong side of the tracks. But the fairy tale ends when the girl disappears. As a down-and-out detective stumbles on info that may lead to the truth, the political stakes get higher and people close to the case end up dead. Sounds interesting!. Filming is due to begin in April this year.
Very Welcome At Sundance = Kirstens directorial debut "Welcome" was screened six times during the Sundance Film Festival. The short film has received very positive reviews from many of the critics who attended the festival.
UPCOMING EVENTS
As mentioned earlier Kirsten is expected to attend New York Fashion Week this
