Here’s a round-up of all the news from what was a busy January.

// John

Kirsten Engaged? = During January Kirsten wore what appears to be an engagement ring at all of the events she attended. There’s been no official confirmation yet but it does look like Kirsten & her boyfriend Jesse Plemons are now engaged.

Awards Attendee = On January 2nd Kirsten attended the 28th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala. Kirsten looked amazing in a custom Ralph & Russo dress. Om January 29th Kirsten attended the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Kirsten, who attended the event with her brother Christian, looked stunning in a corseted, lace Christian Dior white gown.

French Fashion = Kirsten attended three events in Paris in January. First up Kirsten & Jesse were guests at the Chopard Presents ‘The Garden of Kalahari’ Collection event at Theatre du Chatelet on January 21st. Then on January 23rd Kirsten attended the Christian Dior Spring-Summer 2017 Show at Musée Rodin, & later the same day the Ralph & Russo Spring-Summer 2017 Show at Grand Palais. Both these events were held during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Awards Cast = “Hidden Figures” won the “Ensemble Performance” award at the 28th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala. The film also won the “Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Theatrical Motion Picture” award at the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Impressive Figures = “Hidden Figures” topped the U.S Box office for two successive weeks following it’s general release on January 6th. The film had grossed over $100 million in the U.S by the end of January.

Three Oscar Nominations = “Hidden Figures” has been nominated for three Academy Awards. The film has been nominated for “Best Picture” & “Best Adapted Screenplay” & Octavia Spencer has been nominated in the “Best Supporting Actress” category. The Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on February 26th.

Kirsten To Return To TV = Kirsten is set to star in & executive produce “On Becoming a God in Central Florida”, a 1990s-set dark comedy television series. Written by Robert Funke & Matt Lutskye “On Becoming a God in Central Florida” is a darkly comedic story about the cult of free enterprise & one woman’s relentless pursuit of the American Dream in the early 1990s. Recently widowed & left with nothing, minimum-wage Orlando water park employee Krystal Gill (Dunst) lies, schemes & cons her way up the ranks of Founders American Merchandise – the cultish, flag-waving, multibillion-dollar pyramid scheme that drove her to ruin in the first place. The series will be directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Filming is expected to begin later this year.

Lets Talk = Kirsten was a guest on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on January 5th.

We don’t know of any events that Kirsten will definitely be attending this month. However “Hidden Figures” is nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture….
