| Kirsten on the couch... |
I found this cute article today, also John has been busy adding various HQ images to the gallery.... Kirsten Dunst has had her fair share of being strung along by men - not least Spider-Man. Now she's hoping a real-life hero will sweep her off her feet How does it feel to be one of Hollywood's top leading ladies? Kirsten Dunst: Well, I don't know about that but I do feel responsible for myself and my relationships around me. I think that what makes people respond to you in movies is what you carry with you; what you get from the people in your life. I don't feel some kind of responsibility to other people, only the people who really care about me. How do you cope with the whole red carpet thing? Kirsten Dunst: It's OK. The trick I think is not to take it too seriously. But at the end of the day, what girl doesn't like dressing up? It?s no different. What is your favourite style of clothes? Kirsten Dunst: I wear vintage a lot. I love wearing things from another era but reinventing them in a way for now. It's like kind of like giving birth to a new idea of how that piece was originally perceived and I love that. Do you diet and work out? Kirsten Dunst: I don't diet because I like my food too much. I try to work out. I swim sometimes but that's about it. Do you watch yourself in your films? Kirsten Dunst: It's very hard to watch a movie that you're in because it reminds you of a time, not even the times on set but just what you were going through in your life at that time. So it's hard to watch it and disconnect from that whole experience and plus you know what's going on in the movie so you can't really enjoy it in a fresh way. You started your career at an incredibly young age. Do you feel you missed out on anything? Kirsten Dunst: Of course it's not a natural way to grow up but I feel all my girlfriends, no matter how they grew up, are struggling with something in their lives. I'm advanced in a lot of ways and not in other ways. It's like, what 24-year-old has her own house? Do you know what I mean? But I think everybody has their issues and there's always something to work out. Is it true that you're going to play Debbie Harry in a biopic? Kirsten Dunst: Yeah, but it's too early to talk about it. What about the Barbarella remake? Kirsten Dunst: No, I don't want to wear that outfit. That's too revealing. I don't want to wear a bikini through an entire film. When do you want to start a family? Kirsten Dunst: One day, but not yet. I'm 24, come on! Are you looking for the right guy? Kirsten Dunst: Isn't every girl? And even if I did find him I wouldn't be telling! Does your profile make it difficult for men to ask you out on a date? Kirsten Dunst: Oh, completely. I live a normal life but occasionally there's stuff that's not so fun to deal with. If they can't deal with that, then that person's not meant for me. I need somebody who can deal with all the aspects of who I am. How do you deal with life in the spotlight and all the gossip and paparazzi? Kirsten Dunst: It's hilarious. I couldn't care less. Of course I would like to stay out of the press with personal stuff as much as possible. It's so weird but that stuff doesn't bother me that much. The trick is to stay under the radar. Is it true that you're going back to college? Kirsten Dunst: It is. I'm all signed up and I'm so excited about it. I've always wanted to study art and I figured that this was as good a time as any. So I'll be taking a little time off which I'm looking forward to. |
