Gary Ross, who directed Tobey Maguire in Seabiscuit & Pleasantville, is rewriting the script for Spider-Man 4 according to www.variety.com. Sam Raimi will once again direct the Columbia Pictures & Marvel Studios project that will go into production early next year. The Spider-Man 4 script was originally written by James Vanderbilt, & then rewritten by David Lindsay-Abaire. The fourth installment is scheduled for a May 2011 release.
