Flashback Friday: Sylvia UK Premiere After Party, November 2003

Here’s a timely flashback! Today we’re going back to November 6th 2003 for the ‘Sylvia’ UK Premiere After Party, which was held at Mezzo restaurant in London.

The film starred Gwyneth Paltrow & Daniel Craig & told of the doomed relationship between poets Sylvia Plaith (author of ‘The Bell Jar’) & Ted Hughes.

Kirsten attended the after party with her then boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

I’ve added four ‘new’ pics to the gallery & replaced two of the existing pics with much bigger versions.

Flashback Friday: Porn ‘n’ Chicken New York Premiere, October 2002

Today we’re going back to October 9th 2002 for the New York Premiere of “Porn ‘n’ Chicken”. One of the films stars was Ginnifer Goodwin, who was about to start filmimg “Mona Lisa Smile”, & she was joined at the premiere by her Mona Lisa Smile co-stars Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal, & Julia Stiles. Kirsten had just dyed her blonde hair brunette for her role in the film.

I’ve added 28 ‘new’ pics to the gallery, replaced one of the existing pics with a much bigger version, & overwriten some of the other pics with better quality versions.

Flashback Friday: 1st Annual YoungStar Awards, September 30th 1995

Edit: This update was originally going to be posted last night but we were having some server issues. So here’s our first “Scrollback Saturday” update!

Today we’re going back 21 years to the 1st Annual Hollywood Reporter YoungStar Awards, which were held in Los Angeles on September 30th 1995. Kirsten attended the awards & won the “Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama Film” category for her performance as Claudia in “Interview with the Vampire”. I’ve added six pics to the gallery.

The Hollywood Reporter YoungStar Awards honored young American actors & actresses aged between 6 & 18 years for their work in film, television, stage & music. Winners were chosen via a poll of 3,500 entertainment industry insiders who read The Hollywood Reporter.

The YoungStar Awards were held five times between 1995 & 2000 (they had a year off in 1996!). Kirsten won three awards in total & earned a further three nominations. Here’s the full list of Kirsten’s YoungStar Awards wins & nominations.

1st Annual YoungStar Awards

Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama Film : Won for her performance as Claudia in “Interview with the Vampire”.

2nd Annual YoungStar Awards

Best Young Actress in a Mini-Series/Made for TV Film : Won for her performance as Sara in “The Siege at Ruby Ridge”.

Best Young Actress in a Drama TV Series : Nominated for her performance as Charlie Chiemingo in “ER” (You were robbed Kirsten!).

3rd Annual YoungStar Awards

Best Young Actress in a Mini-Series/Made for TV Film : Won for her performance as Tina in “Fifteen & Pregnant”.

5th Annual YoungStar Awards

Best Young Actress in a Comedy Film : Nominated for her performance as Betsy Jobs in “Dick”.

Best Young Actress in a Drama Film : Nominated for her performance as Lux Lisbon in “The Virgin Suicides”.

Flashback Friday: Secretary New York Premiere & After Party, September 2002

Today we’re going back to September 18th 2002 for the New York Premiere of “Secretary” which was held at the Clearview Chelsea West Theatre, & the Premiere After Party which was held at Lot 61.

Kirsten was just about to start filming “Mona Lisa Smile” & also in attendance at the premiere & after party were “Mona Lisa Smile” cast members Maggie Gyllenhaal (who was the lead actress in “Secretary”), Julia Stiles, & Ginnifer Goodwin.

I’ve updated the gallery adding 53 ‘new’ pics & have also replaced 16 of the existing pics with much better versions.

Flashback Friday: Elizabethtown Deauville Film Festival Press Conference, September 2005

A flashback with a difference today as I’ve never seen any pics from this particular ‘flashback’ before! It’s the “Elizabethtown” Deauville Film Festival Press Conference which was held on September 7th 2005. I’ve added seven pics of Kirsten at the press conference to the gallery.

Flashback Friday: Elizabethtown Venice Film Festival World Premiere, September 2005

Today we’re going back to September 4th 2005 for the World Premiere of “Elizabethtown” which was held at the Palazzo del Cinema during the Venice Film Festival. Kirsten attended the premiere with director Cameron Crowe & co-stars Orlando Bloom & Susan Sarandon. I’ve added 47 pics of Kirsten at the premiere to the gallery.
